Kiosk Setup

Configure your PunchFlow kiosk on any shared device.

Supported devices

Any device with a modern web browser works: iPad, Android tablet, Windows tablet, laptop, or desktop. Recommended browsers: Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge. No app installation required.

Finding your kiosk URL

  1. Log in to your PunchFlow admin at punchflowapp.com/login
  2. Click Kiosks in the left sidebar
  3. Click the kiosk name to view its unique URL
  4. Copy and paste the URL onto the kiosk device

Bookmarking on a tablet

On iPad (Safari): Open the kiosk URL, tap the Share icon, then tap Add to Home Screen. The kiosk will open as a fullscreen web app from the home screen.

On Android (Chrome): Open the URL, tap the three-dot menu, then Add to Home screen.

On desktop: Bookmark the URL or pin the browser tab.

Idle auto-logout

The kiosk automatically logs out after 90 seconds of inactivity. This ensures it is always ready for the next employee without requiring any manual action.

Resetting a forgotten PIN

  1. Log in to your admin dashboard
  2. Go to Employees
  3. Click the employee's name
  4. Click Reset PIN and set a new 4-digit PIN
  5. Let the employee know their new PIN

Location permission (GPS)

PunchFlow can optionally capture GPS coordinates at clock-in. The browser will show a one-time location permission prompt. On a permanent kiosk device, accept the permission once and it will be remembered.

GPS capture is optional โ€” if the permission is denied or unavailable, clock-ins still work normally. The device IP address is always recorded.

The "Powered by PunchFlow" footer

On the Free plan, the kiosk footer shows "Powered by PunchFlow". This branding is removed on the Pro and Unlimited plans. Upgrade from your Billing settings to remove it.
